The Catholic Archbishop of Juba said he takes the departure of former Bakhita Radio director and the appointment of a new director as positive steps of growth.

Yesterday, the Archdiocese of Juba together with the staff of Bakhita Radio, friends and listeners, celebrated the departure of Sr. Cecilia Sierra and the reception of Albino Tokwaro as the new director.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro said during the celebration that although change is painful, all must accept it as part of life.

He added that he had no doubt about Sr. Cecilia’s capacities to develop Bakhita Radio to the level it stands now.

The Archbishop said that regretfully nobody is permanent and new people come to replace old one.

Archbishop Lukudu thanked Sr. Cecilia on behalf of the Archdiocese of Juba and the Bishops of South Sudan for her service through Bakhita Radio and her assistance to other stations that are part of the Catholic Radio Network.

He said he has no doubts that Mr. Tokwaro will be able to run and manage Bakhita Radio.

Archbishop Lukudu called on Bakhita Friends, the government and all Bakhita stakeholders to continue supporting the Voice of the Church in Juba.
