Lakes state Members of Parliament disagreed over some articles of the Constitution during the deliberations on Monday afternoon causing three lawmakers to walk out of parliament.

Marial Amuom Malek told Good News Radio that he walked out of parliament during the deliberations to inform the public that he is not part of the fictitious law, adding that a Constitution should be a supreme law and remain a reference book for generations to come.

Mr. Amuom claimed that the State draft Transitional Constitution is mixed with personal interests of some members and is also made in a way to deceive people, revealing that there is no legal advisor to direct the MPs on the legal basis in the Constitution.

Ater Jeremiah of Abang Payam added that Article 64 states that the first sitting of the Assembly should be presided over by the most elderly person in the House but it has been canceled in the current transformation.

He alleged that, the current speaker of the state assembly was brought in through the SPLM but this year the Parliament wanted to follow a democratic procedure.

The three MPs said they will not be part of the Constitution if passed in Parliament.
