The commissioner of Rumbek Central County yesterday urged citizens of Lakes State to respect one another in order to build the new nation.
Commissioner Matur Magol Majok called upon members of the public to embrace togetherness to foster development in an interview with Good News Radio.He expressed happiness about the security situation which has prevailed since South Sudan was declared independence.
He said the State has not witnessed cases of bloodshed, adding that many people are now focusing their attention on how to develop sectors like education, and health.
Meanwhile, the commissioner advised the traders in Rumbek market to take the responsibility of changing the old currency with the new currency immediately before the expiry date of September 1.
Mr. Matur said the Government took up an initiative to mobilize the businessmen at the trading centres to take their monies to the nearest banks for exchange as soon as possible.
The Government of South Sudan has embarked on a number of activities to ensure calmness and stability of the nation.
