The newly constructed structures at St. Anselm Catholic Mission, Bunagok, Rumbek Diocese, were officially inaugurated on Sunday.

The inaugurated structures include the church which will also serve as a the priests’ house, kitchen and store at St. Comboni Primary School, Good News Radio reported.

Speaking at the launch, Fr. Salvador Ferrao, Parish Priest of St. Theresa said the construction is a fulfilment of what the Catholic Bishops predicted in their last year’s message ahead of the Referendum that “Sudan Will Never Be the Same Again.”

Fr. Gidudu explained that the community participated by giving trees to make timber.

The Commissioner of Aweirial County, David Mayom Riak, thanked the Catholic diocese of Rumbek for realizing the project, adding that the structures are for the good of the community.

The Commissioner called on the community to use the structures for the common good, adding that using the structures for personal purposes would amount to a crime.
