SOUTH SUDAN GETS INTERNET DOMAIN

The caretaker Minister forf Telecommunications told journalists this evening that South Sudan has been given an internet domain and currency code SSP approved by the International Organization for Standardization.

Caretaker Minister Madut Biar Yel said South Sudan has received alpha 2 as its code which can be initialised as SS and used for internet domain.

He added that South Sudan has an alpha 3 code that can be used for the passport as SSD and SSP for the currency.

Mr. Yel said that the process of introducing the new internet domain will take time.
