Two members of the SPLM-DC National Council resigned to join the SPLM in South Sudan.
Sebit Gideon, a SPLM-DC member of the National Council in Khartoum, told journalists in Juba today that his former party did not have a vision for South Sudan. He said he resigned because the objectives of the SPLM-DC are not clear and the democratic change did not take place.
He added that the SPLM-DC is working for tribalism on an agenda that suits Dr. Lam Akol, the party leader.
Mr. Gideon said his resignation together with a colleague from the National Council will be followed by many SPLM-DC members from other states of South Sudan.
Mr. Gideon revealed that SPLM-DC chairpersons from eight states, except Unity and Upper Nile, will announce their resignation soon.
