Malaria leads disease infections in Tonj South County, Warrap State.
Brother Williams, a nurse working at Tonj United Clinic, told Don Bosco FM that malaria is the leading disease infecting most of the people in the county.He said the clinic treats many cases of malaria and serious cases are referred to Wau hospitals.
Brother William said t the clinic recorded 152 patients with malaria in July.
Mr. Brother said that people tend to bring patients to the clinic when they are already unconscious making it very difficult to treat them.
Mr. Brother William said it was important to sensitize people to sleep under mosquito nets to curb malaria infections.
He added that most patients suffering from malaria are children.
