Security has improved in some parts of Nuba Mountains and farmers are looking after their fields again although rain is not coming as expected.
A farmer from Ferish, in East Heiban County, said security in the region has improved drastically and people can go about their normal lives.He explained that the Arab nomads who have been disturbing the community were chased away.
He said the villagers are looking after their fields again although there is no rain.
The villager added that the farmers cannot give up agriculture as it is their daily activity.
Ferish is one of the communities in Heiban County that practices agriculture.
The locals this year faced a number of difficulties in farming activities due to the ongoing war.
