The SPLM-DC leader has dismissed looming allegations that he does not intend to relocate to South Sudan due to allegations that he is secretly running a militia force.

Lam Akol was the only candidate battling with president Salva Kiir Mayardit during the April elections and his party is considered as the main party opposing the ruling SPLM.

Dr. Akol told SCR News through a line from Nairobi that he is a South Sudanese and nothing will stop him from relocating to South Sudan.

He added that his party is active all over the republic.

Dr. Akol denied allegations pinned against him that his secretly running a militia force in South Sudan.

He challenged whoever is accusing him to present their evidence.

Asked if he would accept to serve as a minister in the new government if appointed, Dr. Akol dismissed the idea saying his objective is to produce a genuine change in South Sudan.

Dr. Akol noted that the current leadership is contrary to the resolutions agreed at the All Parties Conference of last October.

He said the current provision of a centralised system does not reflect the interests of South Sudanese.
