RECONCILIATORY MEETING BETWEEN MVOLO AND YIROL RECOMMENDS PEACE

A three-day reconciliatory meeting between Mvolo and Yirol West communities resolved that both communities should maintain the peace among them.

The consultative workshop between the communities of Mvolo of Western Equatoria and Yirol West of Lakes State was organized and facilitated by the Mundri Relief and Development Association, Bakhita Radio reported.

The participants called for the immediate secession of hostilities and deployment of neutral forces along the borders of Kokori, Wowo, Bahr Grindi, Lual, Lessi and War Ayel.

It also urged MPs from the both states together with their traditional chiefs and commissioners to present to their communities the terms of peace.

During the meeting the participants explored the root causes of the conflict and sought ways and means to resolve the problems in order to bring the two communities into peaceful coexistence.

The meeting resolved to minimize human suffering cause by intertribal conflict through the unity between the communities of Western Equatoria and Lakes state.
