The Catholic Archdiocese of Juba yesterday prayed for the rest of late Bishop Caesar Mazzolari of Rumbek who died on Saturday.
The prayer in Juba coincided with the official funeral mass offered by the Bishops of Sudan and of South Sudan in Rumbek.Speaking at the funeral mass in Juba, Auxiliary Bishop Santo Loku Pio of Juba said Bishop Mazzolari worked tirelessly in Sudan and South Sudan for the glory of God.
Bishop Loku explained that the life of Bishop Mazzolari was worth imitating.
He added that Bishop Mazzolari offered his life for many people, like Saint Paul.
Bishop Caesar Mazzolari was buried in his Cathedral in Rumbek on Monday.
Yesterday the bishops of Sudan and South Sudan together with relatives of Bishop Mazzolari who came from Italy and a huge crowd of faithful, priests and religious and representatives from the governments of the republic and state celebrated a funeral mass in Rumbek.
