The government of Unity State is holding peace talks with the militia forces operating in the area.
Governor Taban Deng said talks are already under way with Gatluak Gai.
He underscored the role played by militia leaders like Gatluak Gai, Peter Gadet, Gordon Kong and others during the struggle for the independence of South Sudan and they ought not to be left out in the new republic.
Mr. Taban called upon the militia leaders to join the process of nation building in South Sudan warning them that remaining in Khartoum will not do them any good.
