A minister in the government of Upper Nile state said true freedom will come after the independence to the people of South Sudan.
Minister for information Peter Lam Both said people of South Sudan are free and enjoy living in an independent republic for the first time since God’s creation.He added that nothing will take the state of South Sudan away from its people.
Mr. Both congratulated the children of South Sudan for independence.
He recognized their sufferings saying they are not like any other children in the world because they had lived in South Sudan with wars.
He assured the children that they were free as a result of independence.
Mr. Both said that the SPLA’s struggle for this independence could not be forgotten.
He said many soldiers had died and were wounded in big numbers.
He asked the new Government in the Republic of South Sudan to honour the war veterans and provide good services for them.
