Citizens of Sudan living in Malakal, Upper Nile State, have congratulated the entire community of South Sudan for its independence.
Ezedin Yacob from Darfur said it was a great achievement for the people of South Sudan to become independent, Voice of Love reported.He remembered that as “drums of happiness are beaten” in South Sudan, Darfur and Nuba Mountains remain hiding from government’s air bombardments.
Kamal Adam Yousif from the SPLMÐNorth sector of Nuba Mountains said he hoped the people of South Sudan would get their total freedom with independence.
Adam Dawood said he was happy for the independence of South Sudan.
He added that the struggle remains for the rest of the marginalized communities in the Republic of Sudan.
Samuel Jamal from White Nile State recognized the struggle of SPLM for the freedom of the entire Sudanese nation.
He said he was happy to witness the freedom day of his fellow human beings in South Sudan.
Mr. Jamal added that he was not afraid to be in South Sudan because it is a country of democracy and human rights.
