A German Catholic charity that has been assisting South Sudan congratulates the new country and vows to keep the partnership with the new nation.
Missio’s representative Hans Peter Hecking is in South Sudan for the independence celebrations. He told SCR News he wanted to congratulate the people of South Sudan for the historic occasion.He added that as a German he knows what it means to look for freedom.
Mr. Hecking recalled an African proverb that says: when you want to walk fast go alone, when you want to walk far go with others.
He urged South Sudanese to work together while pledging Missio’s continuing support.
