Twenty one tailors yesterday graduated in Mugwa payam of Yei River County after a five-month intensive training organized by a local association.
Among the graduates there were four men and 17 women who received lessons in both tailoring and business skills to enable them to manage their work, Easter Radio reported.Amba Faustino is the program manager for Mugwa Community and Development Forum, the association that organized the training.
He urged the graduates to implement their new skill in the bomas they came from.
One of the graduates who preferred anonymity said it was difficult to begin serving the community because they were not provided with sowing machines unlike in some other the training schools in Yei River County.
He added that the training they got comes second to support the agricultural activities in the county.
About 50 people attended the graduation that was graced by the Payam’s director.
