The top ten students in last year’s Sudan Secondary School Certificate in Lakes State are mostly from Rumbek National Secondary School.
Manasah Marial Makoi, who is the Director of School Examination in Lakes State, announced the Sudan Secondary School Certificate examination results on Wednesday in Rumbek.He revealed that seven out of the top ten candidates who sat for the examination were from Rumbek Secondary.
The other three students came from Mapuordit and two from Panakar.
Mr. Marial also announced that out of the 600 candidates who sat for the examination in Lakes State, only 68 candidates failed the examination.
He said that a total of 70 girls sat for the examination and 53 were successful.
He remarked that tcandidates performed poorly in science subjects, including physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology.
Mr. Marial noted that Lakes State students did better at this year’s Secondary School Certificate exams.
He said his office was waiting for instructions from GoSS Ministry of Education with regard to university admissions.
