Tonj South County authorities established a number of committees to oversee the celebrations of the Independence Day.
Tonj Mayor said that security, organisation, culture and information committees where formed.He added that the celebrations will be done at Boma level as well because independence has come a long way.
The mayor called upon the communities of Tonj to respect the foreigners in Tonj South adding that dignity for all is a priority.
He said the county has Kenyans, Ugandans and Ethiopians among others who hosted South Sudanese during the civil war.
