UN-owned Radio Miraya launched yesterday a new programs grid in time for the independence of South Sudan.
Celia Koh, Miraya’s deputy head of Programming, told SCR News that the station has a new slogan: “Radio Miraya, the pulse of a new nation.”She noted the station has new programs including Miraya’s Breakfast Show, Solvers √ɬê a program to tackle peoples’ needs, Missives from the North dealing with the situation of Southerners in Sudan and a new current affairs show.
Ms. Koh said the new grid does not change Miraya’s mandate for independence, timely information, human development and security.
Miraya FM is operating from its studios in Khartoum and Juba since mid-2006 and covers South Sudan with a vast network of relay stations.
