MINISTRY OF COMMERCE PREPARES POST INDEPENDENCE STRATEGIES

GoSS ministry of commerce and industry concluded yesterday a three-week workshop to build up a strategic plan after the independence of South Sudan.

The workshop was attended by representatives from various GoSS ministries who contributed with ideas to the strategic plan, Bakhita Radio reported.

Undersecretary in the ministry of commerce and industry Elizabeth Manoa Majok told the press that the workshop aimed to giving her ministry full directives and a roadmap for their achievement after July 9.

She said her ministry has the role to provide and enable good ground for businesses to expand across the new country.

Ms. Manoa said the ministry has the vision of an industrialized South Sudan fully integrated into the world trade and the global business system.

She pointed out that her ministry’s strategic plan is inserted in the general development plan for South Sudan.

Ms. Manoa said that her ministry is ready to work with the strategic plan after the independence of South Sudan.
