The Mayor of Juba said he is planning a learning trip abroad for he and his staff to gain experience from the office experiences in other countries.
Mohammed Alhaj Babala was appointed Mayor of Juba City at the beginning of April.He said in a programme aired by Bakhita Radio that he and his staff need more experience to strengthen their work in the City Council.
The mayor revealed that his office is organizing visits to Washington DC, London, Nairobi and Kampala to learn from the experience of their respective mayors in order to carry their duties effectively.
Mr. Alhaj explained that his office intends to establish Juba City Council as the basis for a better administration of other city councils in South Sudan.
Mr. Alhaj concluded that he had to work harder to offer better services to the Juba residents.
The Mayor of Juba today celebrated his first 20 days in office.
