The provincial superior of the Comboni Missionaries said the upcoming ordination of a Comboni seminarian to the diaconate is an important moment for the congregation.

Fr. Daniel Moschetti was in Yei to visit the local bishop and make arrangements for the ordination to Philip Andruga scheduled for May 15.

Fr. Moschetti told Easter Radio that the ordination was an important event for seminarian Andruga, who studied theology in Brazil.

He added that Mr. Andruga will be ordained to the priesthood in December and wishes that he may be able to work in South Sudan for sometime.

Fr. Daniel spent the Holy Week and Easter celebrations with the Comboni community in Lomin, Kajo Keji, to encourage the missionaries and see the many commitments they have: parish, kindergarten, primary and secondary schools and a workshop.

He urged the people of Yei to keep the spirit of Easter through a new life.
