The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio this morning opened a three-day Diocesan Pastoral Council meeting in Nzara.

Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala welcomed all the diocesan priests, heads of departments, religious, major seminarians and all representatives from the 13 parishes of the diocese.

The bishop said this year the diocese will engage in system strengthening and the Human Resource manager is working hard to make sure this is achieved.

Bishop Hiiboro encouraged the participants to be self-reliant.

He said the diocese needed more hooks than fosh from the donors.

The participants will evaluate the implementation of last year’s resolutions and see the way forward.
