SPLM deputy secretary general for the northern sector told thousands on Monday in Heiban County of South Kordofan that ignorance undermines citizenship.
Yassir Arman made this statement during a SPLM rally for the state election scheduled for Monday, Voice of Peace FM reported. He told the crowd that Arabs are not recognizing citizens in terms of economy and development.
Arman urged the crowd to vote for SPLM candidate for governor Abdul Aziz Adam Al-Hilu, saying NCP candidate Ahamed Haroun won’t do anything good to the popular consultation.
Arman said he expected Southern Kordofan to be the place of freedom where each individual had the right of religious expression.
He added that Haroun has a problem that needs proper attention and he could not be chosen to rule the region.
Haroum is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Darfur.
