The commissioner of Lainya County in Central Equatoria said Easter Sunday celebrations should bring a new era to South Sudan.
Samuel Suba added that poverty, suffering and other troubles were temporary, Easter Radio reported.He explained that life may become easier if people put their faith in God.
Mr. Suba said Jesus’ resurrection should bring meaning to the new nation and make it prosperous, inclusive and democratic.
Mr. Suba added that people should celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with compassion and respect and not by drinking and fighting.
He urged adults to teach children about Jesus, his life, his troubles and his success because as God was with him, He is also with his people today.
