The head of the Episcopal Church of Sudan wrote in his Easter Message that peace is the mother of development and it stems from obeying God.
Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul wrote a message to the faithful of Sudan under the title Jesus died and rose again to reconcile us to God.The ECS primate explained that Southerners are dying in Abyei, Malakal, and at the hands of the LRA in Western Equatoria because Khartoum changed its mind and it is rearming some southerners to kill themselves.
He added that others rebelled because they do not see themselves as part of the new nation.
Archbishop Deng urged Southerners to be patient and work to mobilize all to have a common vision for the new nation.
He added that it is the work of believers to let Southerners see that God is gathering everyone from other countries and bringing them to their land.
The Archbishop wrote that God will clean the land of idols and remove the hearts of stone and give Southerners a hearts of flesh that listen, love and respect.
Archbishop Deng asked Central Equatoria Government to provide land to all the citizens who are working in Juba.
And he concluded: “If we are hoping for a new country we are to have the fear of God within us. We are to think of the new way of looking at ourselves and understanding one another. Out of the seed of peace grows the development of the nation.”
