GoSS vice president congratulated the people of Equatoria for their successful conference and called Upper Nile to follow suit.
Riek Machar Teny praised the participants at the Equatoria Conference 2011 on Saturday during his closing remarks for having maintained calm and peace with the government.He said the Upper Nile and Jonglei states should also hold a conference to ask for rights peacefully instead of taking up weapons against GoSS.
Dr. Machar added that the government will implement the relevant resolutions from the Equatoria Conference 2011.
The Equatoria Conference 2011 took place in Juba from Thursday to Saturday to tackle isseus related to governance, security and development.
