A community based organization is assessing its activities of child protection in Lainya County.
Bidal Matthew, area coordinator for Lainya Count of the Institute for Promoting Civil Society (IPCS), said his role is to identify children who were kidnapped by the Lord’s Resistance Army in the county and give the report to the UNICEF who funded the project.
Lainya County press secretary Bullen Lugala told Easter Radio that the acting executive director for Lainya County accused the IPCS for not informing his office about its activities in the county.
Mr. Lugala added that the majority of people in Lainya did not know that such an office for child protection was operating in the county.
