Delegates from the three Greater Equatoria states are starting this morning a three-day conference to discuss governance, development and security ahead of independence.
Some 500 delegates from Eastern, Central and Western Equatoria are expected to debate the foundations of the new nation under the theme Justice, Unity and Prosperity.GoSS president Salva Kiir Mayardit will be the guest of honor and Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro of Juba will open the conference with a blessing.
The conference takes place at Nyakuron Cultural Centre, in Juba.
Manasi Lomole, deputy governor of Central Equatoria, said the event costs 1.5 million Sudanese pounds.
The conference was prepared n Yambio, the capital of Western Equatoria, last month.
