The newly appointed Mayor of Juba City Council visited Juba payam this morning to brief its members on how to improve health and security before Independence Day.
Speaking to Bakhita Radio, Mayor Mohamed Elhag Baballa said that their first priority is to clean up Juba town before the independence.He said the Council authorities are going to improve security through deployment of police in suspected areas within the three payams of Juba County.
Mr. Alhag pointed out that the city council will not to suppress the citizens but to restructure the town by asking shop owners along the main road to build permanent shops with expected designs.
The mayor asked the state government and its citizens to work together for the rapid development of Juba before independence celebrations.
