The federal ministry of health says it will support the health sector in southern Sudan with provision of equipment and training of medical personnel.
Dr. Abdallla Tia, spoke to SRS in Khartoum: He said the support is divided into two parts adding that the first part is being carried out by the Unity Support Fund especially in areas of maintenance and building of health centers and hospitals.
The second is implemented by the ministry where all hospitals and health centers will be provided with medical equipment and training of health cadres for the south. Dr. Tia said that there was no proper coordination between the federal Ministry of health in the north and the GOSS ministry of health before he took office.
