A renowned catholic charismatic priest from Uganda is in Juba to preach the gospel of reconciliation and peace for a period of four days.
Father Anthony Musaala was welcomed by the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba Paulino Lokudu Loro, priests, religious brothers and sisters this morning in the premises of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’Conference Secretariat.
Archbishop Lukudu held a meeting to deliberate on the importance of Fr. Musaala’s mission in Juba The Archbishop called upon Christians to involve in understanding the work of the Holy Spirit and the charismatic mission. Archbishop Lokudu appricated the mission as an enterprise brought to Juba by an African priest.
Archbishop Lukudu called upon the Church personnel to be open to accept innovation and build their consensus upon strong bases of faith. Fr Musaala’s mission in Juba is said to be the first popular mission in the Archdiocese of Juba. The animation takes places every day from 26th to 29th August, five o’clock to seven o’clock at Saint Theresa’s Cathedral Kator.
Hundreds of people turned up yesterday for the first launch of the crusade in Juba. This evening Fr. Musaala with the faithful and religious brothers and sisters organized a march from Saint Theresa’s Cathedral to Konyo-konya market and back to the Cathedral where preaching took place. Fr. Musaala was born in England 54 years ago. In 1996 he returned to Uganda from where his carismatic ministry began and developed.
