WE HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO CONDUCT THE REFERENDUM-SAYS THE SOUTH SUDAN REFERENDUM BUREAU

The Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau said it has enough time to make all the necessary arrangements in order to meet the January 9th time line for the conduct of the referendum.
There are about five months left to the referendum.

Speaking to SCR news, The chairman of the Referendum Bureau, Chan Reech said they still have time to do whatever could be done to meet the January 9th time line.

He confirmed that it is possible to get the registration materials and register people up to October without interfering with the January ninth time line.”

Reech went on to say that the bureau will start running its activities when the appointed members of the high committees are sworn-in.

The swearing-in ceremony is expected to take place on Monday.

The Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau is an organ of the Khartoum-based Southern Sudan Referendum Commission, charged with taking care of the conduct of referendum in the region.
