Political parties in Eastern Equatoria state have pledged their support for separation of South Sudan in the referendum of January 2010.
The parties resolved in the political parties roundtable that party differences and discontents during the April elections should be left out, since the referendum is a general concern of every South Sudanese.
The participants identified cattle rustling, land grabbing, boundary development and election conflicts as issues that call for resolution before referendum, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Ms. Ann Mary Alobo, an officer from UNMIS civil Affairs, highlighted the significance of reconciliation among the parties, so that they will approach the referendum without any conflict among them-selves.
