EASTERN EQUATORIA ASSEMBLY ADJOURNS FOR YOUTH REFERENDUM DEMONSTRATION LAUNCH

The Legislative Assembly of Eastern Equatoria state adjourned its seating on August 4 2010, to allow members of parliament to prepare for the launch of the Youth Referendum Demonstration in support for separation.

Eastern Equatoria parliamentary spokesman, Joseph Lokodo Columbus, told Radio Emmanuel shortly after the adjournment that the legislators would organize to join the youth for the peaceful demonstration in Torit and Kapoeta South towns on August 9.
The youth demonstration in support of separation of South Sudan started in Juba early this year and has been adapted by other states in the region.

The peaceful demonstrations shall take place every 9th of each month until the people of south Sudan go for the referendum.
