Many citizens of Juba waited since yesterday for the arrival of late Samson Kwaje, GoSS Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
He passed away on July 26 in Agha Khan Hospital, Kenya, for kidney failure.
His body arrived in Juba this morning and was escorted by the population from Juba International Airport to his home in Hai Amarat.
Early afternoon the requiem mass of late Samson Kwaje was presided over by the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba in St. Theresa cathedral.
Archbishop Paolino Lokudu Loro expressed deep sorrow for the premature death of Dr. Kwaje, and urged the faithful to pray for his soul to enter heaven, since death is the end of any earthly carrier, but not the end of life.
In attendance at the requiem mass were GoSS president, Salva Kiir Mayardit, his vice, GoSS ministers, government dignitaries, family members and friends of late Dr. Samson Kwaje.
