The governor of Western Equatoria state has invited investors and development partners to empower the area despite insecurity in his state.
Most areas of Western Equatoria state are badly devastated by the activities of the Ugandan Lord’s Resistance Army.
Talking to SCR news, Joseph Bakasoro said although there is insecurity in his state, his government needs investors and partners to invest in the area.
He blamed insecurity for the underdevelopment but assured that it would be overcome.
He stressed that investment in the areas of agriculture and infrastructure is needed most and listed roads and the just completed dam in Maridi among the developmental plans.
Mr. Bakasoro was speaking during the thanks giving prayer by the community of Western Equatoria to GOSS for appointing their sons and daughters in various departments of the government of southern Sudan.
