My Referendum for Freedom (MRF), is a youth association which launched today its referendum campaign to cover the ten states of south Sudan and Abyei.
The launch was done in a two-day conference that started today with the aim of carrying out youth activities that advocate for the 2011 referendum in south Sudan.
Addressing the media Isaac Gong, MRF media coordinator, said the conference gathered together all members to witness the launch of the campaign.
He affirmed that the members will in turn disseminate the information to the people in their respective payams and bomas.
Mr. Gong added that all states are represented, apart from Western and Northern Bahr-El-Ghazal, constrained by logistical challenges. He explained that MRF will not make any choice on behalf of the public in the coming referendum, but will inform and make people aware of their rights.
MRF was founded in Australia in December 2009 and established a branch in Juba in March 2010. Currently MRF has branches in all the ten states of south Sudan and in Khartoum.
