The trainees marched from the learning wing at Himodonge Hills to Torit town, and camped at the Freedom Square.
According to the trainees, they have not been given food for about a week, Radio Emmanuel reported. Lacks of accommodation, filthy environment, and lack of latrines are some of the issues raised by the police trainees.
An investigation by a team of legislators in Eastern Equatoria state recently revealed that the trainees sell firewood to purchase food.
The team discovered also other reasons that forced the Legislative Assembly of Eastern Equatoria state to mandate the security Committee to start intensive investigation of all the organized forces before deliberating on the matter.
The committee was given one week to produce its findings to the Assembly.
