GoSS Under-secretary of Social and Religious Affairs, Peter Sokole Buni, said that the ministry was committed to support Eastern Equatoria Union for the visually handicapped and Rajaf Institute for the blind.
Mr. Buni added that the increased number of disabled students in undergraduate and graduate studies was a sign of great hope and progress.
He also explained that Rajaf Center for the blind used to be a big institution with professional teachers, and his ministry intends to re-open it.
Mr. Buni estimated that at least thirteen millions Sudanese pounds are needed to the re-build the Rajaf Centre for the blind.
He concluded that education is one of the fundamental rights that everybody is entitled to, regardless of their inabilities.
