Eastern Equatoria state minster for education, science and technology yesterday recognized and awarded a prize to the best student from Torit Day Secondary School who had missed out the state prize.
20 year old Ochuho Emmanuel scored 85.7 per cent in the national examination but his name was left out among the best 10 students who received state prizes.

The second and third best students were assumed top candidates while their score fell below that of Ochuho by 0.4 percent and 0. 8 per cent respectively.

State minister of Education, Lopuke Lotyam who last week offered prizes to the best 10 performers acknowledged that Ochuho Emmanuel Luka is the best student in the state.

In an interview with Radio Emmanuel Mr. Lopuke apologized for the error by Torit Day Secondary School administration, saying at least Ochuho has been discovered and appreciated.

The student was awarded with Geography text books.
