ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION CALLS FOR PROSECUTION POWERS

The south Sudan Anti-corruption commission is seeking for prosecution powers to be able to present corruption cases in court.
Talking to SCR news, Deng Deng Yai, Executive Director of the Anti- corruption Commission cited the Nigerian anti-corruption commission that has been able to take many corruption cases to court each year due to the prosecution powers

Mr. Deng however noted that the president of south Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit issued directives to the Goss ministry of Legal affairs and constitutional development to amend the establishment act that gives the commission power to prosecute.

Mr. Deng called upon the ministry of legal Affairs to speed up the process of amendment so that the commission can immediately take corruption cases to court.
