Goss ministry of Education is implementing mobile schools for SPLA and child pastoralists. Kuol Atem Bol is the Director of Alternative Education in Goss ministry of Education.Addressing participants at the commemoration of the world day against child labour, Mr. Kuol said his office established a mobile school for SPLA and child pastoralists.
Mr. Atem revealed that eleven thousand child pastoralists were enrolled to mobile schools in the cattle camps although his ministry targets more one hundred thousand child pastoralists to be enrolled this year.
Mr. Atem explained that pastoralists praised the government initiative and brought their children to school. He said the ministry is targeting communities with high illiteracy rate for either pastoralists or non pastoralists.
