Saint Joseph the Worker parish was displaced by the civil war and operated in Juba for about 20 years.
Archbishop Paolino Lokudu Loro told the faithful yesterday that the parish and the fathers’ quarters were officially opened in its original place in Lela √ɬê Lirya.
Archbishop Lokudu explained that the administration of Saint Joseph the Workers’ Parish will work in Lirya from yesterday on.
Archbishop Lokudu invited the parishioners to embrace the new blessings and grace of the new church that was just rebuilt on its original place. He called upon the faithful to renew their hearts in faith and forgiveness.
Lirya parish is the only parish that existed among the Lokoya and Lulubo communities. The parish has about 10 prayer centers in Lokoya and Lulubo villages. The Archbishop of Juba is still in Lyria assessing other expansion plans, such as the building of a school building and other developmental services.
