Lakes State Ministers appointed by the governor last Wednesday were sworn in yesterday. Speaking at the occasion, Governor Chol Tong Mayay said that it was not easy for him to choose the cabinet, adding that he was aware that not everyone approved his choices of the Ministers he made.

He however expressed confidence in the ministers he appointed, adding that they were fitting in his eyes because he named them after what he termed as “excessive consultation”.

The governor urged those left out to understand and accept the
situation, adding that there will be chances in the future.

The governor urged the ministers to serve the public saying the people of Lakes State are awaiting their services.

The Speaker of Lakes State Assembly, Hon. John Marik, urged the Ministers to respect the Constitution and cooperate with the three arms of government, namely, the legislature, the judiciary and the executive.

The speaker further urged the cabinet to serve the public through good governance.

Lakes State Cabinet of ministers consists of 14 ministers and 6 advisors.
