The president of South Sudan strongly cautioned the new ministers on mal-practices like tribalism and misuse of government resources for private ends.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit told the cabinet yesterday during their swearing in ceremony that government vehicles were strictly meant for use during working hours.

He added that relatives of officials should refrain from using government vehicles.

President Kiir cautioned the ministers from recruiting fellow tribesmen and women to fill their ministries’ positions.

He affirmed that all ministries should reflect the ethnic diversity of south Sudan.

President Kiir cautioned the ministers against corruption in strongest terms, stating that any civil servant caught in the act of corruption should be brought to justice.

He advised the ministers to equally share government resources with all the ten states of south Sudan.
