Engineers working for South Sudan government completed a training session on finances and projects management to increase their skills to deal with contractors.

Director of Roads and Bridges in GoSS Ministry of Transport and Roads, Gabriel Makur, explained to SCR News that the workshop sponsored by Multi Donor Trust Fund aimed at capacitating engineers from his ministry and from the ministry of Housing and Physical Planning.

Mr. Makur said that the training was to prepare engineers to administer projects and finances.

Mr. Makur said that the engineers were project planners and supervisors, and the lessons intended to make them both competent and confident while following constructions.

He added that the engineers had to learn how to counter cheating contractors in the construction industry.

The training, managed by Louis Berger Group, an American company specialized on management consultancy, ended today.
