The governor of Central Equatoria created more four new ministries in addition to the nine already in place, totalling 13 ministries in the state.
Francis Barson Yuasa, the spokesman for Central Equatoria government, told SCR News that the new ministries included Labour and Manpower, Co-operatives and Rural Development, Animal Resources and Legal Affairs and Law Enforcement.Mr. Yuasa explained that two women served in ministerial posts in the new cabinet, one in the ministry of Social Development and the second in Legal Affairs.
He said the new government included ministers representing every county of Central Equatoria state.
Women representation in the new executive for Central Equatoria falls short of the 30 percent promised after the elections by the SPLM leadership.
