Eastern Equatoria governor urged the state Legislative Assembly and the executive to work together in preparation for the upcoming referendum.

Governor Louis Lobong Lojore made this appeal yesterday while addressing the two organs of the state after legislators approved the cabinet members, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Mr. Logong advised the various actors in the state civil and political services to cooperate for the common goal to serve the people.

The governor added that ministers would always consult the House for guidance on every step they took.

Mr. Lobong rebuked critics who claimed the cabinet was full of young and inexperienced ministers.

He governor explained that there were seven elders who had working experience since the 1970s.

Mr. Lobong said the elders were mixed with the young to share ideas and learn from one another for the benefit of the state.

He explained that younger ministers would advise the elders on modern issues while the elders gave wisdom to the young.
