The two peace partners are discussing post-referendum arrangements in a new round of talks sponsored by the African Union in Ethiopia’s capital.
SPLM spokesperson Yien Mathew told SRS that the meeting was initiated by the AU to address the pending issues in the CPA implementation as the country approaches the referendum for southern Sudan.He added that the AU wanted to bring the two partners together and sensitize them about the responsibility of the referendum issues.
NCP senior member Rabie Abdulaati said the issues under discussion were related to the special aspects of the referendum and self-determination and post referendum arrangements, whether related to unity or secession of the south.
